To a Rose hip

Wild rose hips
Wild rose hips

Rose Hip

While I weep to say
I wish to sow

More rose hips about my garden soil
For,  I know this flower takes no toil.

Its summer beauty is
A moment’s pleasure

Yet, like words cast about too freely
Unpruned, unguarded, and untended

Unwanted, spread about,
They hurt t
he tender hand and heart they touch

Wild Rose Hips
Wild Rose Hips
